


Dress Code Policy
- Clothes should be neat, clean, and appropriate for school.
- Clothes should reflect time of year and weather conditions. School fleece can be used for cold weather.
- Clothing that is revealing or immodest, or tops that expose bare midriff or undergarments, are not allowed. Examples include halter tops, bathing suits, sports bras, tube tops, razor‑back tops, spaghetti straps, and low‑cut tops.
- Students must have a coat in school for wet days and will be unable to go out at break times without one.
- Jewelry: Ear studs, finger rings, chains/necklaces are not acceptable, nor other body‑piercing jewelry.
- Hair styles should be conservative to avoid attention being prematurely drawn towards appearance.
- No dyeing of hair during school days. Only natural hair colour dyes allowed in class. No make‑up or tattoos.
- Apparel, jewelry, accessories, tattoos, or grooming that denote membership in a disruptive/illegal gang are prohibited.
- See‑through or mesh garments must not be worn without appropriate coverage underneath that meets the dress code.
- Shoes must always be worn and should be safe for school. Pajamas, bedroom shoes or slippers are not allowed, except for approved activities.
- Hats, hoods, helmets, or head coverings that cover the face are not allowed, except for religious, cultural, medical or disability-related needs.
- No clothes with images that promote illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violent conduct, curse words, pornography, threats, discriminatory, lewd or obscene messages.
- Skin‑tight attire (tube dresses, liquid pants, ragged jeans, jeggings, leggings) are not allowed to be worn alone.
- Pants or jeans must be worn at the waist so that undergarments/midriff skin are not visible. Use a belt if needed.
- Appropriate footwear: close‑toed shoes with a backing. No high heels, slippers, crocs, or flip‑flops.
- No accessories with sharp or pointed protrusions.
- All jackets, hoodies, and sweaters worn must comply with the dress code.
